Well, three elimination games were on the schedule for Day 14 of the NHL Playoffs, and two teams were eliminated, including our Hawks. Now deflated for the remaining 3 rounds, the show must go on, so let’s look at where we’re at after 2 full weeks of playoff hockey.
Day 14 Results
- Kris: 2-1
- Cindy: 2-1
- Christian: 2-1
Results so far
- Kris: 28-19
- Cindy: 20-27
- Christian: 22-25
Everyone walked away with 2 picks tonight, so no real ground was gained. As with Tampa on Monday, Philly pulled through for all three of us, while we split the remaining two games. As much as we had hoped otherwise, Papa’s pick for Vancouver to win the Round 1 battle against the Hawks came through, while Mama and Christian scored with Montreal forcing yet another Game 7 in the first round.
The final night of Round 1 is on Wednesday, with four teams in the East battling for tickets to the next round. Boston and Montreal will be playing back-to-back nights, which is always draining in the playoffs. It’s gut check now, folks.
